Wildlife of Indonesia

Indonesia is right between two big oceans – the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Imagine it like a big puzzle made up of more than seventeen thousand islands! Some of these islands are Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, and parts of Borneo and New Guinea. There are huge parts of land that are wild and untouched. There are more than 50 National parks. These parks are home to animals that you might not see anywhere else. Indonesia has the most mammals in the world (515 species) and is inhabited by 1,539 bird species.
